Submissions

Now accepting submissions for The Developing Economist, Vol. 4
Deadline: 11:59 pm, January 15th, 2016.

We accept submissions of academic papers from the fields of International Relations, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, and Public Policy authored or co-authored by current undergraduate students or recent graduates (less than 12 months) from any accredited institution around the world. Submitted works will be considered for publication only if they strictly follow the guidelines below.

First round submissions may be in any format, but reformatting should be expected upon acceptance. There are no length requirements and no cost for submission, but the final, formatted entries are expected to be no longer than fifteen pages in length (references and appendices included). We ask that your submission has not been published elsewhere, and that you include a short abstract with your application.

Why submit your research?

Having your paper published in the journal has multiple benefits. It acts as both a valuable resume-builder and a way to differentiate yourself from applicants in your field. More importantly, the process allows you to share your research nationally and it provides an opportunity to have your work peer-reviewed.

How To:

1. Fill out our form.

Applicants must first submit details regarding their paper by filling out the following form.

2. Send us your paper.

Next, email a .pdf of your paper and abstract to developingeconomist@gmail.com to complete your application.

What to expect next...

After the deadline our committee will anonymously review submissions and inform you of our decision. If your paper is selected we will assign an editor to review your work and make recommendations regarding content, reformatting, copyrighting etc.
