What is ODE@UT?
Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies with 578 chapters located throughout the world. We are dedicated to fostering research, academic achievement, and friendship amongst students studying the field of Economics.
The Objectives of ODE@UT are:

Recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics.

The establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities, and among colleges and universities.
-
The publication of its research journal, the Undegraduate Journal of Economics at the University of Texas at Austin.
-
Sponsoring of panels at professional meetings as well as the Irving Fisher and Frank W. Taussig competitions.
-
The establishment of long-lasting personal and professional relationships between members and alumni.
Qualifications
A student must meet the following criteria in order for their application to be accepted by Omicron Delta Epsilon:

3.5 Economics GPA
-
3.0 UT GPA
-
12 hours of economics courses (6 hours upper division)
Graduate students and non-Economics majors can also be members.
* Once inducted, ODE members must maintain a 3.0 Economics GPA and a 3.0 UT GPA to be considered active members and eligible for an office.
* Each member is required to attend the induction dinner.
